Terms of service

The fine print, written as plainly as we can manage.

Effective 2026-04-01

These terms govern your use of MasjidDesk and the services we provide. Please read them carefully. If anything is unclear, write to [email protected] and we'll explain.

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using MasjidDesk, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you are using MasjidDesk on behalf of a masjid or organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization to these terms.

2. The service

MasjidDesk is a software-as-a-service platform that helps masjids manage prayer times, donations, members, events, communications, and finances. We may add, change, or remove features over time, but we will not materially reduce core functionality without notice.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access.

You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to create an account.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent activity.
  • Send spam, phishing, or unauthorized commercial messages.
  • Attempt to access data belonging to other tenants or to our infrastructure.
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell the service without permission.

We may suspend accounts that violate these rules. We will give notice and a chance to remedy where possible.

5. Fees and billing

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We will give at least 30 days' notice before any price increase.

6. Your data

You own the data you put into MasjidDesk. We process it on your behalf to provide the service. You can export or delete your data at any time. See our Privacy and DPA pages for details.

7. Termination

Either party may terminate the agreement at any time. Upon termination, we will retain your data for 30 days to allow recovery, after which it is permanently deleted (except records we are legally required to keep).

8. Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising from these terms is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts located in Toronto, Ontario.
